Un air d'été

Each year in June and July, Euralille hosts the festival “Un air d’été”, a summer event combining music, performances, games, reading corners for children, and local producers’ markets.
Designed for a wide audience — people passing through the district, train station users, students, shoppers, or occasional visitors — the festival offers open and accessible spaces for everyone. Deckchairs under parasols, picnic areas, and welcoming installations come together to create a moment of relaxation in the heart of the city, an invitation to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere.
The event aims to bring new energy to this transitional urban area, introducing a more vibrant atmosphere and a sense of holiday spirit.

Within this framework, Atelier Blink, in collaboration with Nonpareil, designed and produced a series of modular elements. Composed of simple geometric shapes and coloured components, they assemble into totems with a strong visual presence. These structures punctuate the space, attract attention, guide visitors, and contribute to a festive, playful, and warm atmosphere.

The system was designed to be modular and easy to install during festival weekends, and then stored away the rest of the time. The modules can be combined in multiple ways, allowing for different configurations with each installation.
